Stuff & Stuff

Huzzah!  It is Friday!  I’m very excited about this.  So excited I wish there were an easy acronym I could use to express my excitement.  Like “HIIF!” or “HCILF!”  or “YF!”  Too bad there isn’t.

In other news:

I used to link to a nifty little book called The Graphic Artists Guild Handbook of Pricing and Ethical Guidelines that is published by the Graphic Artists Guild.  It’s a handy resource to have around if you are just getting started or don’t work in an area where there’s a large community of freelancers to brainstorm with about business.  Even if you’re an old hack and have the greatest working community in the universe, I hear it’s pretty cool.

That’s all to say, the link is now broken because they rearranged their website.  I recommend that you use this as an opportunity to poke around the website and see if membership is right for you.  I have no personal knowledge of the guild and am not a member; I just liked what I found on their site:

And, they tell me, when you join you’ll get a fancy real life copy of the most recent edition of the Pricing & Ethical Guidelines.

So that’s exciting and worth checking out.

Also, I really love today’s Cat & Girl.

HIFF and enjoy your weekend!  Come back round on Monday; there will be new and exciting things to check out.
